I’ve been working in the security awareness industry for a while now, and I’ve always been struck by the passion and dedication security awareness practitioners and leaders have for solving the human element of security, to engage every employee in the fight against cyber threats.
But the majority of the cybersecurity industry – from vendors and products to budgets to conferences to general conversations– focuses on technology and processes, and NOT the real people (employees) at the frontline of keeping organizations safe. For those focused on security awareness, opportunities to share and learn from their peers are few and far between.
Today, we’re pleased to announce a new Slack community dedicated to bringing together the security awareness community, from program managers to CISOs.
The ABCs of security
This new Slack community is uniquely focused on the ABC’s of security: Awareness, Behavior & Culture. We want to foster an online home for practitioners and leaders to learn from peers, share best practices, get and give advice, and discuss important industry advances.
Join our Slack community
This community is for everyone interested in security awareness. It’s free to join, and you don’t have to be an Elevate customer. If you have any questions before joining, you can email us at community [at] elevatesecurity.com, but we encourage you to dive in and join.
Rules of engagement
A quick note about how we want the community to grow and thrive. The community is moderated by me and the Elevate team. The rules of engagement are simple and apply to everyone in the group (us included).
Rules of engagement:
Contribute thoughtfully, be respectful, and share best practices but no sales pitches. This is a community forum not a show floor.
Hope to see you all on Slack soon!
